by Kelly Hubertus

This new release on Toko Records comes from the producers known as Mettle Music. The CD, Honeycomb Lounge, comprises ten soulful, Latin-inspired tracks from Nic Conef and Mark Wadsworth. Known for their odyssey through the world of 70's funk, 80's disco and 21st century house beats, the production company known as Mettle Music is based in Manchester, England. Nic Conef is a veteran house head, fully committed to the cause of proper house music since the earliest days of the club scene. He wanted to develop his own sound and coupled up with Mark Wadsworth, who is a talented musician and percussionist.

After the first few beats, you can tell that this CD is one you will fully enjoy. Smooth, jazzy house beats will fill your car as you cruise around to this wonderfully deep, soulful groove. Each track has a different flavor, so this CD will keep you movin' and groovin', whatever mood you're in. The sounds of Honeycomb Lounge can be adapted to any atmosphere, whether it be dancing with friends or conversing in a local lounge. If you happen to see any more music out there from Nic Conef or Mark Wadsworth, whether it be albums such as Honeycomb Lounge and the upcoming Honeycomb Dubs, or any solo projects, definitely pick it up!
