  Plus One Champion Sounds

What do you mean no "plus one" on the guest list? He is with me! No, that's not what this is about. Niall Dally (Plus One) is a DJ from Edinburgh, Scotland, and at the tender age of 20, he has already claimed the title of DMC World Champion. The same competition Atlanta's own DJ Klever came in as runner up. September 13, 2001, had to be the sweetest day for Plus One, as he received first place votes from twelve of the thirteen judges at the DMC/Technics World DJ Championships.

Known for his incredible scratching abilities, Plus One opens his mix CD with just that, reminding us that he is still "number one" along with host MC Rodney P. It's apparent that Plus One did more than just scratch his way through this CD however. He includes a High Contrast Remix of "No Soul" and cuts up into the next track with Rodney P hypin' it up proper! This CD features several previously unreleased exclusives from the likes of Total Science, J Majik, Adam F, and Sentient featuring MC Trip. Each elemental dose Plus One delivers is a perfect earful. "Super Mario"-like bass lines bounce through the "Kloakin' King" track, making it impossible to keep the head from bobbin'. Dally pairs tracks well, such as the buzzing Roni Size remix of Zero 7's "End Theme" into Dillinja's "Thugged Out Bitch". The mix closes with Sentient's "Delirium" at a screeching halt, and we left the question, is that it?

Formerly a Scratch Pervert, Plus One continues to work on other projects to get his own music out. Currently, he is in the studio with old pal Tony Vegas (Scratch Pervert originator) and Joel on the debut Scratch Perverts album. A mix album is also in the works, so be on the lookout!
