I don't care what anyone says, if he runs I'm voting for him. There is not one single candidate from either side of the aisle that can do a better a job than he would do. I hope he crushes the candidates from both sides. He labels himself a Republican but first and foremost he is a business man. I know I'm going to catch major hell for this but think about it people. I don't care if he's declared bankruptcy a few times or not. Just watch what happens if this dude gets elected. It would be insanely awesome...

This is the closest we'll ever get to having a Ron Paul or Ross Perot in the White House. Get on it... Cool

he definitely is a shift in paradigm. he has a unique angle in that he prefers to point out flaws in another country's way of doing business as opposed to flushing out the corruption within our own corporate/government structure, (obviously and admittedly to his own benefit).

I mean really, who the hell is any American to talk about currency manipulation?? There is no real moral high ground there unless you're simply trying to appeal to repugnance.

Bottom line is I think Trump is Anti-Oil/Pro-Technology and that's good enough for me. There's no chance he could ever go on CNBC and speak in the same tone and manner, but accusing the Chinese of cheating in the Olympics on camera!?? lol PRICELESS!!

He took a jab at Paul durring C-pac..
That's becasuse Paul is the closest to his economic policy. Everything said prior and durrng primaries goes out the window.

He may be right though. As much I love Paul. The Christian right and the war hawks will never vote for him. That hurts his chances in the primaries. He scares the establishment. I love it. Trump will have to disclose finances if he runs. Not sure if he would like that or we would like what we see either. Wait and see!

dr. ron paul

i don't follow him blindly and it's a shame that the tea party was hijacked by beck, palin etc. but his honesty and patience are unmatched.

he's the only one who isn't corrupted at all! voting record, campaign contributions, CFR...all clean as a whistle. unlike trump he's not another greedy fuck and has over 30 years as a politician under his belt.

Careful. You sound an awful lot like Trump talking like that. Wink

Ron Paul is a hero imo. I'm very grateful for him "keeping it real" in DC. But contrary to your assertions that he has a *clean* record, his voting record is exactly why Congressmen don't often get elected POTUS these days. That's because every Congressman has one; red or blue. Like lawyers, reps on the hill jealously serve their constituents by bringing home Federal dollars, whereas that function is usually turned on its end and used against said politician during a campaign for election. So that's the first strike against Ron Paul. Yeah I realize Obama is an exception. There's a good reason why he is where he is Wink ; but from what I hear according to Obama's fiercest detractors, he didn't have a record cause was never there to vote on anything!?

The second is Ron Paul's age. He's old. Too old to be Pres? For me, probably.

3rd is Ron Paul has an Anti-Fed agenda and nobody nowhere is gonna get to be the POTUS talking shit to the Fed. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. Trump knows this. That's why I agree with Trump when he says Ron Paul will never get elected. Now I might disagree with Trump on Ron Paul's platform, but that remains to be seen I guess.

Bottom line for me is this. Trump is Anti-OPEC. While this causes problems for some of the high brows at the round table who amass great wealth selling weapons, guns, and drugs to guys like Saddam while calling it the American Dream, Trump is the guy in real estate and casinos. He is pretty well schooled in risk management. I think everybody in the room now understands that if we are going to increase our leverage on the US Stock Market with the retirement and life savings of most Americans, then it would only be prudent that we cease to subject ourselves to price sensitive tensions developing in the Middle East for the next 10 years while they bootleg iPhones and Google to organize their revolutions.

I have to admit though, I really am impressed with the strategy. You knew something was going down when Eric S left Google to go to DC. Sure beats the hell out of bilking the American taxpayers out of billions to sponsor a government overthrow run by the energy sector. Of course they get theirs ya know. But with wireless you can draw a lot less attention to yourself for acting unilaterally under questionable and downright fraudulent authority. "These fuckers wanna follow people to their death all the motherfucking time, I'll give 'em something to fucking follow -- ",

And ya think we know now why China was trying to keep Google out? lol

Is the answer to terrorism really found by preventing people from blowing themselves up because they fear they might miss an update? Razz

It's just like the record companies that tried to prevent the Internet from happening, only in this version the record companies are all winning. They said all I have to buy is 1 album at regular price and they would give me 10. Now I'm on the run.

fuck the fed. no really, FUCK THE FED!!!

the fed is EXACTLY why we are in the position we are economically and will eventually bow to china as long as they continue their SELF-SERVING practices... even they know there is no turning back now.

we're not going to recover from the recession.

the power of the fed is something obama underestimated unfortunately. but that happens to naive, YOUNG presidents sometimes.

EVERY congressman (kucinich?) sucks fed cock. except paul!!!

again, this is WHY he should be voted for!!!

the system is broken. period.

Fed says 2010 payment to government sets record
Fed pays US Treasury record $79.3 billion, reflecting gains from programs to aid economy

Martin Crutsinger, AP Economics Writer, On Tuesday March 22, 2011, 11:46 am EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Federal Reserve is paying a record $79.3 billion to the U.S. government after the central bank earned a record amount of money last year from programs aimed at boosting the economy.

The Fed says its payment to the Treasury Department for 2010 is 67 percent higher than $47.4 billion it paid in 2009, the previous record.

The central bank earned a record $81.7 billion last year from its massive holdings of securities, which were purchased to help stabilize the financial system and pull the economy out of the recession. A portion of those earnings go toward funding the Fed, which receives no appropriations from Congress. Any money left over is turned over to the Treasury Department.

Uncle Sam just made $80 Billion in hush money to let the Fed be the Fed. Though many of us may disagree with the philosophy of a private bank running the US, you gotta admit they know how to tip.

What I wanna know is, how much did they really keep?
