I used to go by the name of Maze, couldn't figure out what my password was so I'm going by this name now. Anyways, I periodically do this and I don't mean to put up junk posts. This is for those that are truly interested in coming over to Korea to teach English. I know with the financial situation the way it is over there in the States, there's gotta be a lot of worries. Its a bit of a long story to go over in this post but for certain reasons, the English education industry in this country thrives regardless of economic conditions and it can be a stable profession for many years to come.
If you have a Bachelor's degree in any area, or are Korean-American with two years of coursework in college, there are lots of positions to fill.
If you have any questions or are interested in pursuing coming to Korea, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email or post a reply on this thread.
A few of the basic working terms include:
Free housing (furnished)
Round Trip Airfare
A severance pay that equals to one month wages, after completion of a 12 month contract
and much more...
Depending on the place and specific position, teaching jobs pay about an equivalent of two to three thousand U.S. dollars a month and taxes range from 3 to 6 percent taken from monthly pay. That is pretty much nothing because you are getting medical.
There are many people who come here and have 10, 20 grand saved up after a year or two.
That's some general info for you. Any specifics can be given upon request.
Anyways...hit me up if interested.
