  The Lunar Mission

To educate, promote, discuss, inform and unite electronic dance music and the associated culture in the greater Atlanta area and beyond.

Lunar Magazine began as the creative idea of Sabrina and Jason Weil. Established in 1999, Lunar was the first web based publication of it's kind that focused on the electronic dance music scene in one of the most diverse cities in the United States — Atlanta, Georgia. Home to more than four million people, Atlanta could be defined as multi-cultural, urban and professional. Yet at the same time, it is a city of liberal thinking and artistic expression — all with a touch of southern charm. It is these traits that we embrace in our flourishing dance community. With a change in management in 2002, Lunar is moving toward a new vision, and a new Vision Statement:

To be the authority on electronic dance music and culture in Atlanta by:

  • Representing all genres of underground electronic dance music
  • Highlighting the diversity of the Atlanta dance scene
  • Profiling cutting edge music, clubs, events and artists
  • Providing an archive for reviews, photography, articles, charts, interviews, public discussion forums and happenings
  • Sponsoring exciting events

Adopted February 2002
