  About Us

Lunar Magazine's staff consists of some very wacky, very dedicated people who really care about the Atlanta scene. Hey, read our mission if you want proof. We all have day jobs, we all go out on the weekends, and we all work very hard to make Lunar a valuable resource for our scene — so we're very tired and very poor. Attention promoters: please consider helping us make Lunar better by adding us to your guest list. Please contact us for arrangements.

Parker Stephens
Staff Writer

Parker Stephens formed a secret love affair with electronic music while still in high school. Groups like The Prodigy, Underworld, and The Chemical Brothers ignited an obsession that shows no sign of fading years later. After leaving the suburbs in 2001 he found solace in Atlanta amongst other beat-addicted junkies. Since escaping the drab comformity of suburbia he has structured his life around the rhythms of music. By day Parker studies English Lit at Georgia State University and after dusk you can find this nite owl roaming the streets searching for his next digital hit. He hopes that through his writing he may be able to garner support and excitement for the music he loves and bring new blood into Atlanta's electronic community.

Lily Steenblik
Forum Moderator

Lily attends college at Georgia State University where she is majoring in Biology. Lily's interest in electronic dance music manifested in 1997, when she was first exposed to artists such as Orbital, Prodigy, The Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, and Fat Boy Slim (among numerous others). While her tastes in electronic music have changed over the years, her love for the music has remained. Although she truly finds joy in music, Lily is more than content to be a dancer and spectator in the Atlanta scene. Between school and work Lily manages to find time to help moderate the Lunar forum with Sterling and Darbi. When time and money permit, Lily can be found on the dancefloor if you look hard enough!
